Calgary based Cenovus Energy Inc. (TSX:CVE) announced the $5.7B acquisition of Calgary based Athabasca Oil Corp. (TSX:ATH).
Grindr (NYSE:GRND) acquired Calgary based PurposeMed, the parent company of HIV prevention telehealth provider Freddie, for US$250MM. The dating platform provider will pay US$190MM cash and US$60MM in common stock for the acquisition.
Surrey based Finning International Inc. (TSX:FTT) acquired UK based John F Hunt Power Group Ltd., a specialist generator rental company serving the industrial, healthcare, events and construction sector. The target has 145 employees and ~2,500 generator units across the UK.
Vancouver based Hypercharge Networks Corp. (TSXV:HC) acquired Houston based REVS Charging LLC for US$4.75MM, an EV charging solutions provider in TX.
Calgary based Noralta Technologies Inc., a provider of automation, electrical, and gas fitting & related field services to oil and gas producers, announced the acquisition of the assets of Kilgore, TX based Seven H Solutions LLC, a provider of automation, sales and product services.
Montreal based Quantum Emotion Corp. (TSXV:QNC) acquired Vancouver based Plurilock Security Inc. (TSXV:PLUR), a cybersecurity software and solutions provider serving enterprise and government customers with procurement channels and AI-driven capabilities in risk analysis, authentication and identity.
Calgary based Control Tech, an electrical, instrumentation and automation solutions provider, acquired Airdrie based Alcro Electric Ltd., an electrical contractor with extensive experience in modular construction and industrial electrical services.
Calgary based Whitepass Capital Partners acquired ServiceMaster Restore of Calgary, a disaster restoration services provider to the commercial, residential and multi-unit sectors including flood damage, sewer backup, mold remediation, fire restoration and other related services.
WSP Global Inc. (TSX:WSP) announced the acquisition of GCM Corpo, an engineering consulting firm with ~600 personnel focused on the energy and industrial sectors. GCM Corpo is headquartered in Montreal with Western Canadian offices in Calgary, Sherwood Park, and Regina.
