Laval based Englobe Corp. acquired Calgary based Reinbold Engineering Group, a mechanical engineering firm with expertise in building systems, energy modelling commissioning, sustainable design, and building performance. Reinbold has over 90 personnel working in offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Kelowna, Vancouver and Toronto.
Nashville based Whitfield Power Solutions LLC, a developer of digital infrastructure and AI-compute growth platform, acquired Vancouver based Revolve Renewable Power Corp. (CSE:REVV), an owner-operator and developer of renewable energy projects to form an integrated power and AI-compute growth platform.
Vancouver based Concord Pacific Group acquired the Golden South Wind Project near Assiniboia, SK. The assets acquired consist of 50 wind turbines with 210 MW of installed generation capacity and 200 MW of contracted capacity.
Salt Lake City based Solen Software acquired Grand Forks, BC based InterSect Business Systems Inc. dba distrib-u-tec, an ERP and accounting system provider for the food distribution, packing and processing industry.
Vancouver based Waskahigan Oil & Gas Corp. (CSE:WOGC) completed a $2.5MM business combination with Private.Ki Ltd., a provider of an encrypted communication SuperApp unifying email, chat, and messenger. The combination will result in Private.Ki's business becoming the core operations of Waskahigan.
Toronto based Trillium Acquisition Corp. (TSXV:TCK.P) acquired Kelowna based SNFLWR Investment Corp., a provider of real estate investment, development and advisory services.
Japanese company LEIFRAS Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ:LFS) acquired Victoria based A To Sports Inc., a children soccer school operator, to establish a business platform in North America and advance its overseas growth strategy.
Singapore based JBDI Holdings Ltd. (NASDAQ:JBDI) acquired Richmond based Club Versante Group for $20MM via an unsecured convertible promissory note. Club Versante Group operates three restaurants and bars.
The federal government introduced a Productivity Mega Deduction tax incentive that allows businesses to deduct 100% of the cost of eligible new investments. Eligible assets include oil & gas pipelines, fibre optic cable, mining property, software, R&D, computer equipment, aircraft and vehicles, patents, and other infrastructure.
