  Vancouver based TNC Capital Partners announced a majority strategic investment in Calgary based David Aplin & Associates Inc., a provider of workforce solutions and technology consulting services.

• Construction:
  Grande Prairie based Medallion Energy Services Inc., a provider of construction, E&I maintenance, and custom control panels provider, announced the acquisition of the electrical and instrumentation division of Red Deer based Nexsource Power Inc. The acquisition expands Medallion’s operating footprint in Edmonton, Red Deer and Drayton Valley.

• Specialty services:
  Calgary based BridgeWerk Capital Management and Clear North Capital formed a strategic partnership/buyout with Sherwood Park, AB based ⁠Tetrad Insulation Services, an insulation contractor serving the energy, construction, manufacturing, forestry and mining sectors.

• Construction:
  Memphis, TN based ATWEC Technologies, Inc. announced the successful closing of its acquisition of ⁠Nisku, AB based Park-Aid Asphalt. Park-Aid is a long-standing heavy civil infrastructure and asphalt contractor.
