Mergers & Acquisitions:

  • Manufacturing:
    Winnipeg based Buhler Versatile Inc., a manufacturer of agricultural equipment, announced the acquisition of the operating business of the ATLAS Group, a German construction machinery manufacturer to strengthen European market position.

  • Building materials:
    Canfor Corp. (TSX:CFP) announced the $68MM acquisition of Calgary based PinkWood Ltd.’s I-joist business that manufactures engineered wood joists for residential, multi-family, and commercial construction.

  • Tech:
    Burnaby based Clio, a legal software provider, announced the acquisition of Toronto based Jurisage, a legal tech firm offering AI-ready legal datasets.

  • Consumer services:
    Edmonton based AutoCanada Inc. (TSX:ACQ) announced the acquisition of Mascarin Collision Centre, a Thunder Bay based collision repair business operating out of a 20,000 sq ft facility. AutoCanada concurrently closed the acquisition of Contemporary Coachworks, a Calgary based collision repair business with two locations.

  • Healthcare:
    Toronto based Novus Health, a provider of healthcare assistance services, announced the acquisition of the GoeVisit virtual care platform based in Vancouver to expand capabilities into virtual primary care and connected healthcare support.

  • Manufacturing:
    Kelowna based Decisive Dividend Corp. (TSXV:DE) announced the $19.9MM acquisition of Be Fire SA, a Belgian based specialty hearth manufacturer including wood-burning stoves, fireplaces, and fireplace inserts for 5.75x the T12M Adjusted EBITDA.

  • Retail:
    Calgary based High Tide Inc. (TSXV:ITI) announced the acquisition of four cannabis retail stores from J. Supply Holdings Inc. oa Northern Helm in Ontario.
