Mergers & Acquisitions:

  • Industrial:
    Vancouver based Tricor Pacific Capital announced the acquisition of Calgary based Arctec Alloys Ltd., a supplier of specialty repair and maintenance welding consumables with locations in Calgary, Edmonton, Surrey and Winnipeg.

  • Manufacturing & distribution:
    Lethbridge based Varsteel Ltd., a provider of steel products and services across Canada and the US, announced the acquisition of Riviere-du-Loup, QC based Acier Quebec-Maritimes, a metal supplier and distributor as well as custom metal processing service operating from a 45,000 sq ft facility.

  • Manufacturing:
    TerraVest Industries Inc. (TSX:TVK) announced the acquisition of Calgary based Superior Pressure Vessels Inc., a manufacturer and service provider of pressurized transport tanks and trailers to enhance manufacturing capabilities in its Compressed Gas Equipment division.

  • Healthcare:
    Calgary based Canada Diagnostic Centres, a diagnostic imaging services provider, announced the acquisition of Shift Imaging, a medical imaging clinic in Grande Prairie, AB.

  • Tech:
    Vancouver based BTQ Technologies (NASDAQ:BTQ), a developer of post-quantum cryptography and quantum-native security infrastructure, received approval from the French foreign direct investment authorities for its proposed $30MM acquisition of QPerfect, a French company providing quantum technology to researchers, developers and manufacturers.

  • Tech:
    Vancouver based Inturai Ventures Corp. (CSE:URAI), an advanced intelligence company using AI technologies, announced the ~$6MM acquisition of the intellectual property of DomeCommand, an AI-driven command-and-control platform provider for autonomous drone swarms.
