April 14 - NVIDIA to produce up to US$500B in AI infrastructure in the U.S. via various manufacturing partnerships over the next four years in response to potential tariffs on offshore chip manufacturing.
April 15 - The U.S. introduced new restrictions on the export of NVIDIA's H20 AI chips to China, which is estimated to cost the company US$5.5B. The H20 chips were specifically designed to accommodate prior U.S. export controls to China.
