Mergers and Acquisitions:

  • Calgary based Canadian Resources Roadways announced the acquisition of 53 kilometres of critical roadway infrastructure from Islander Oil & Gas Inc. The assets acquired consist of a road network east of Peace River and north of Slave Lake, AB, and includes the Seal Lake and East Chip Roads. The roadways are predominantly utilized by third party operators active in the Seal, Slave Lake and Nipisi areas.

Financing:

  • SECURE Waste Infrastructure Corp. (TSX:SES) closed its $300MM senior unsecured note financing of 5.75% per annum. The offering was led by a syndicate, with net proceeds to repay existing indebtedness and for general corporate purposes.

Other:

  • Calgary based Axiom Oil and Gas Inc. filed a $110MM lawsuit against Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure Ltd. (TSX:TWM) regarding the Brazeau property in west central Alberta the former acquired from Tidewater. Axiom claims Tidewater terminated of a gas handling agreement and its subsequent change to the H2S specification prevented the processing of sour gas, resulting in the loss of long-term processing capabilities and profits. Tidewater believes the claim is without merit and will defend against the claim.
