Mergers & Acquisitions:

• Vancouver based ZenaTech Inc. (NASDAQ:ZENA) announced the acquisition of Grande Prairie based Velocity Geomatics Inc., a provider of geospatial land surveying, geomatics, mapping, and environmental and regulatory compliance services for Western Canadian oil and gas producers.

Other:

• The Alberta Utilities Commission (AUC) approved the Yellowhead Pipeline project from Canadian Utilities Ltd. (TSX:CU), a $2.9B natural gas infrastructure project consisting of a 235-km, 36-inch diameter transmission pipeline from Peers to Fort Saskatchewan. The pipeline will deliver over 1.1bcf of natural gas daily upon completion.

• The federal government, the Alberta government, and the Pathway Alliance collectively announced a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to advance the Pathways carbon capture project. The MOU contemplates regulatory reforms and fiscal measures to accelerate oilsands production growth. The MOU also serves as a condition for a new west coast oil pipeline to proceed. The project is estimated to have the capacity to transport and store six million tonnes per year of captured CO2 by mid-2030s.

• Irving Oil’s refinery in Saint John, NB will undergo a 2-month turnaround in Sep. 2026. The refinery has a capacity of 320,000 bpd.

• OPEC lowered its global oil demand growth in 2026 from 970,000 bpd to 780,000 bpd, marking the third consecutive downward revision.

• The US Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) declined by 3MM bbls to 316.5MM in the week ending July 10th, the lowest level since April 1983.
